I received my B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mathematics, from State University of Sao Paulo "Julio de Mesquita Filho" (UNESP), Sao Jose do Rio Preto, SP, Brazil, in 2006 and 2008, respectively, and my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI, USA, in 2013.

I was a post doctoral researcher (supported by CAPES) in the Department of Computing (DCo) at State University of Sao Paulo "Julio de Mesquita Filho", Bauru, Brazil, (UNESP) from 2013 to 2015.

My research interests include pattern recognition, computer vision, and image processing, focused on biometric applications. I am currently working on fingerprint liveness detection.
