Lab 1 Assignment

This assignment is due at the end of the lab session.

The purpose of this lab is to introduce LaTeX, RCS, and HTML.  These are tools that you will use throughout the semester in this course.  After completing this lab, you should be able to understand the basic concepts of each tool, know how to use them at basic level, and know where to get additional information about each tool.

  1. Create a Latex template for your Weekly status report. Use the following files for creating this template. (xfig.ps and References.bib)
  2. Use RCS while completing #1.  Specifically use the 'ci', 'co', and 'rcs' commands.
  3. Convert your LaTeX file to HTML using the latex2html command.
  4. If you haven't created your own web page, start it.  Make sure you include a title, some text about yourself, and several links to other pages.  Include a link to the CSE 470 homepage.
  5. Start on your first status report.
