Application of modern statistical techniques to modeling and predicting various computer network related events

Analysis of long-range dependent heavy-tailed random time-series (with application to Internet traffic related time-series)

Data mining for an efficient anomaly detection (features selection, extraction and analysis techniques for improving present network anomaly/intrusion detection systems)
