John Weng has been awarded a gift from SAIC in support of his research on machine learning for vision-guided robot autonomous navigation. This gift from SAIC will help support graduate students and help see John's cutting-edge research to fruition. Such industrial contacts help the Embodied Intelligence Laboratory ensure that its research impacts national needs and helps facilitate technology transfer. The prime funding for this research is provided by DARPA.
