Drs. Rob Pennock (Lyman Briggs, Philosophy), Charles Ofria (CSE), and Diane Ebert-May (Plant Biology) received three years of funding from NSF for "Avida-ED: Technology for Teaching Evolution and the Nature of Science using Digital Organisms." This project will develop the Avida research platform for use in the classroom to teach the process of evolution.
