Outstanding Undergraduates in CSE
Please join us in congratulating the following CSE undergraduate students for their outstanding academic performance at MSU. Let them know how much we appreciate their hard work and contributions; we are proud that they will represent CSE in the years to come!
Senior Award Winners:
Joshua Davidson has a 3.98 GPA. He has worked at MSU as a
mathematics tutor, in the MSU Microlab, the MSU College of
Education, and the MSU Detroit College of Law. He is active in the
MSU ACM. His primary interests are in databases and software
engineering. Josh has accepted a software engineering position
with Lockheed Martin.
Christopher Osborn has a 3.96 GPA. Chris worked in the Embodied
Intelligence lab this summer with Prof. John Weng. His primary
areas of interest include algorithms and theory. Chris plans to
attend graduate school in the fall and would like to become a
professor.
Kurt Rothhaar has a 3.95 GPA. He undertook an internship with Walt
Disney last year. At MSU, Kurt has participated in research on
augmented reality under the direction of Prof. Charles Owen. He
has accepted a position with Boeing after graduation.
Adam Todd has a GPA of 3.95. Adam participated in a professorial
assistantship for two years with Prof. Laura Dillon and in research
in the SENS Laboratory during the summer of his junior year. He is a
member of UPE. Adam's interests in Information Technology led him
to pursue a specialization in IT. This summer, Adam will be an
intern in DaimlerChrysler's IT Department.
Junior Award Winners:
Andrew Kreling has a GPA of 4.0. Andrew has been involved with
cooperative education with a computer company in Kalamazoo and will
be undertaking a co-op with the National Security Administration in
the fall. His summer plans include research with Prof. Li Xiao on
peer-to-peer networking.
Timothy Seeger has a GPA of 3.97. Tim is most interested in mobile
computing and security. His summer plans are still in the works.
He hopes to pursue research and an internship with DaimlerChrysler.
Justin Hofman has a GPA of 3.96. Justin has interned with IDV
Solutions and with Universal Map. At Universal Map, he developed
interactive web mapping software. Justin is primarily interested
in operating systems and graphics. This summer, Justin with
continue his internship with IDV Solutions and take courses at MSU.
Freshman/Sophomore Winner:
Chad Klochko has a GPA of 4.0 and is a sophomore. In addition to
his outstanding academic performance, Chad has acquired various
computer certificates. He is interested in computer security. His
summer plans include a quick recovery from knee surgery to be
conducted at John Hopkins. We wish him well!! |
