Undergraduate advisors, Teresa Isela Vandersloot and Amy Radford,
gave a presentation at the NACADA Great Lakes, Region 5, advisors'
conference in Toronto, Canada, March 17-19th. Their presentation

"Employers Call for `Soft Skills' from Technical Majors: How is your
campus answering?"

looked at how advisors and educators can encourage the development of
soft skills, such as leadership, problem-solving, communication and
interpersonal skills, to make students more marketable in the
workforce.
