PLEASE NOTE: A signed copyright release form is due by 21 February 2003.

PLEASE NOTE: An electronic abstract of your paper is due by 21 February 2003.

PREPARING GRAPHIC IMAGES IN YOUR PAPER

First, be careful in how you arrange figures and images in your article.  A wide range of intensities on the same page can cause loss of detail and poor quality.  In other words, don't put a light image
or a figure with light colors/shading on the same page as a dark image or dark figure.

Second, we suggest that you print out your article, then run it through a photocopier.  This process will magnify problems that will occur when the article is made ready for press.  If the photocopy
looks good, then your article will probably look good in the proceedings.  If there are problems with your images or figures, try to change contrasts or move the images or figures to different pages.

Thanks, in advance, for helping us put your articles in the best light we can in the proceedings.

ABSTRACT:
All proceedings published by the IEEE Computer Society Press are
now being included in the IEEE Computer Society Digital Library, and are available on-line through our Web site <http://computer.org>.

An emailed abstract of your paper is necessary to include your paper in the on-line version of the ICDCS 2003 Proceedings.

Please send an electronic copy of your abstract as an email in ASCII format and including the paper title, keywords, author names, addresses, and affiliations, to <icdcs03-abs@computer.org>.

ATTACHMENTS:
There are several customized attachments to this author kit. They contain:

¤ AUTHOR GUIDELINES
Instructions on formatting your paper for the proceedings.

¤ COPYRIGHT RELEASE FORM
A copyright release form that MUST BE SIGNED AND RETURNED WITH YOUR PAPER. Note that you are stating that the material in your paper is original and you have not previously released copyright to it. We cannot publish your paper without this properly filled-out and signed form.

¤ REPRINT ORDER FORM
To use if you wish reprints of your paper. Please make checks for reprints out to the IEEE Computer Society. (The reprints.pdf attachment below will allow you to type your information directly into the form before you print it out.)

The authkit.txt attachment is a plain ASCII text file that is an overall guide with instructions for formatting, a copy of the copyright form and a copy of the reprint form.  There are three additional attachments in Adobe Acrobat PDF file format. They are instruct.pdf, copyright.pdf, and reprints.pdf. These files, while containing the same information as authkit.txt, are formatted to be easier to read and fill out.
