Formatting a floppy disk will ERASE all data that is on the floppy disk. The information will be irretrievable.
To format a floppy disk for use with windows operating systems follow these steps.
1) Put a floppy disk in the floppy drive.
2) Double-click on the ‘my computer’ icon.
3) Right-click on the ‘3˝ floppy drive’ icon.
a) Select ‘format’ from the menu.
4) Click the ‘Start’ button
a) When the warning appears click the ‘ok’ button.
