| Setting up Outlook on Windows |
| 1) Double click on the 'Microsoft Outlook' icon |
| 2) Go to the 'Tools' menu and select accounts |
| Click on 'add' |
| Click on 'mail' |
| 3) Enter your Name |
| 4) Enter your E-mail Address |
| 5) Select 'IMAP' server |
| Incoming IMAP server is 'mail.cse.msu.edu' |
| Outgoing SMTP server can either be your ISP or mail.cse.msu.edu. Need to turn on smtp authentication |
| 6) Enter your CSE user id and password |
| 7) Leave the connection set to LAN |
| 8) Click finish |
| 9) Select the new account |
| Click the 'properties' button |
| Click on the IMAP button and enter 'mail' for root folder path and unclick Check for new messages in all folders |
| 10) click OK |
