Burning an iso
with nero is easy, provided you know a little about the iso image you are trying
to burn. Also, you must make sure that you have the entire file downloaded -
neros capacity to check an iso file is limited. If you are unsure about the file
you are trying to burn, I suggest trying the process with a CDRW disk until you
get it right. Note: the settings I provide here are only meant for the burning
of the microsoft cd images provided by class. Other iso files may be in
different formats, requiring different settings- thus the avalibility to change
the settings.
Step 1 - Run Nero

First,
start the program NERO, cancel the window that asks you to start a new
compilation, and select the menu File and then Burn Image...
Step 2 - Select the image file

Now,
in the dialog box that opens up, first change the drop-down box at the bottom so
it displays 'All Files(*.*)' instead of 'Image Files (*.nrg)'. Next, browse to
the directory where you saved the image file to, and select it.
Step 3 - Configure Nero to handle iso file

Next,
when Nero pops up a window asking for 'Foreign image settings', leave the
settings alone. The default values are correct for it to interprit the files.
Step 4 - Burn the cd

Finally,
When Nero asks for burning settings, set them to the values you usually use when
burning a cd. Note that you do not have to burn the images at 4x; you can burn
them at any speed that your system is capible of. Note also that you cannot
change any of the values on the other tabs (eg Info, Foreign image, and Misc) as
Nero cannot alter the .iso image.
Thanks and good luck!!!
