CD Image burning instructions for Nero Burning Rom

Burning CDs in the computer labs
 
  1. Find the image file to burn:
    1. Locate the imge file you downloaded on the hard drive.
  1. Move the image file to a temporary directory:
    1. On the Desktop click on the "my computer" icon.
    2. Double-click on the C: drive and go to the Temp directory.
    3. Copy the desired image file into this directory (drag and drop it into the Temp directory)
  1. Prepare to burn a CD:
    1. Start Roxio Easy CD creator (Start -> Programs -> Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 -> Applications -> Easy CD Creator)

    2. If this is your first time using Easy CD, you will have to accept the license terms (click the "I accept the terms in the license agreement" button, and then click OK).

    3. You will want to burn a CD image. So, click File -> Record CD from CD Image...

    4. You should see the Record CD from Hard Disc Image box. You want to click the down-arrow to the right of the white box on top that reads "My Documents"

    5. Navigate to the c:\ temp directory

    6. Change the "Files of Type:" selection from CD Image Files (*.cif) to ISO Image Files (*.iso).

    7. Select the image file that you want to burn.

    8. You will see the "Record CD Setup" box. Ensure that the settings are as follows.

    9. Click the "Start Recording" button after you have verified that the setup is correct.

    10. The CD will take approx. 4 minutes to complete. Try not to run any web browsers while you are burning the CD. You may eject the CD safely when the CD burner tells you so:

  1. Clean up:
    1. Delete the image file(s) you placed in C:\Temp
