Address Book using LDAP

CSE runs ldap for addressbook lookups.

Thunderbird:

Choose Tools from the dropdown, then Account Settings.

Choose Composition & Addressing on the left.

On the Right, Choose "User a different LDAP server" and click edit directories.

Add a "Directory Server"
Name: CSE Directory Service
Hostname: ds.cse.msu.edu
Base DN: ou=People,dc=cse,dc=msu,dc=edu
Port number: 389
leave Bind DN and SSL blank

Windows Systems - Select tools->options-> Composition -> Addressing click on Directory Server click OK

Now you can compose an email and start typing the name. It will auto-complete for you.
