From weng@cse.msu.edu Tue Feb 15 20:58:08 2000 From: Dr John J Weng Date: Tue, 15 Feb 2000 20:58:04 -0500 (EST) To: wdl@cse.msu.edu Subject: About WDL email discussion Dear workshop participants: Some of you might still have questions about the email discussion. Here is why and how. Why: NSF requested that WDL participants have a pre-workshop discussion through emails. This kind of informal discussion is very useful for identifying the focus of discussion in the workshop. A pre-workshop email discussion is very typical among workshops in AI. How: Just reply to the emails you like to comment on. In your message, you can address anybody, Stan, Tony, whoever you like to reply to. We will forward your message to all the WDL discussion list through Bcc (blind copy). Every WDL participant is on this blind list now (so far). In order to filter out garbage messages to save everybody's time, we use Bcc (blind copy) so that the receiver list is not in the message heading. This way, nobody can flood WDL discussion list with (unintended) junk messages. If you do not want to be on the WDL email discussion list at all, please send your request to wdl@cse.msu.edu. Please feel free to participate in the discussion. Best regards, John and Ida
