The MACH system is a resource to be used at the Office of Supportive Services. This service is = provided to the students to enhance their understanding of math concepts. It consists of math courses taught by the professors/instructors of the = Math Department. Each course can be broken down into concepts for the student to focus on. It includes sample tests of different levels of difficulty. It contains tutor schedules, surveys, and background = information about the course/concept. Administrators can easily access the site to modify the different functions of the MACH system. The MACH web tool is designed in the hopes of furthering the students education outside of = the classroom. The content in the MACH system is provided dynamically from databases = to increase consistency throughout the site. This also provides accurate reporting on the students' understanding of the concepts. Starting in the summer semester of 2000, thousands of students at Michigan State University will be using the MACH system. With the anticipated success of this system, there may = be room to expand this concept to higher level math courses and possibly other departments in the university.
