Instructional and Research Labs

The instructional lab rooms in EB (3203, 3320, 3340, 3353) are generally open 24 hours a day, although the Engineering Building itself is not. During semester breaks and summer semester, this policy is often relaxed resulting in labs that are closed or otherwise removed from service. During these periods there will always be at least one lab open for CSE instructional access. The rooms are often scheduled, which means there is a sign at the entrance of the room indicating at what times and for which courses that room has been reserved. During those times, only students taking the listed course and section can use the equipment in that room. At other times the labs are open and can be used by any CSE user (although there might be priority usage enforced) for coursework, homework, and other instruction-related uses. The ACS, WNPL, ISL, PRIP, and SENS labs are available only for courses using these specific labs and to members of the research teams of these labs (please note that access to one lab does not imply access to the others). Please refer to account creation and termination for more information on access to an account.
